Welcome to ArkEyeMDs.org, the virtual home of the Arkansas Ophthalmological Society
The Arkansas Ophthalmological Society (AOS), Arkansas Eye MDs, is a statewide professional society representing ophthalmologists practicing in the state of Arkansas. The primary purpose of AOS is to maintain the high quality of medical eye care in Arkansas by serving its members through professional education, practice management and advocacy efforts.
An Invitation to You
As you browse through the new AOS website, we encourage you to explore the pages that illustrate the special expertise of an ophthalmologist in the delivery of medical and surgical eye care. Ophthalmologists are highly trained providers of medical eye care, including the prescription of corrective lenses and surgical procedures, treating eye diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration.
Our Website Caters to Three Audiences

Public - Help Arkansans find an Eye MD near them. The Arkansas Ophthalmological Society currently has over eighty-one (81) members, many who practice out of multiple offices. The Eye Care America program matches eligible senior Arkansans with area ophthalmologists for free or reduced-cost eye care (click on the above link for detailed information).
Are you EyeSmart? An annual dilated eye exam and the appropriate treatment can help prevent vision loss in people with diabetes. Eye Smart Information: Floaters/Flashers | Pediatrics | Diabetes | Macular Degeneration and much more.

AOS Members- Make important information accessible to AOS members in a quick, efficient manner. Our Members Only content includes legislative information, a search for your local representative, and the AOS newsletter.

Non-Member Ophthalmologists- Inform non-member ophthalmologists how membership in the AOS would benefit them, and provide them with the opportunity to begin the application process online. Please visit our section titled: Membership Information.
Notice - The form 990 (Tax Return) for the Arkansas Ophthalmological Society is available for inspection during normal business hours at the Society office. Please call for appointment.
